New Professional Code in Quebec
The new Professioal Code in Quebec takes into account changes introduced by the adoption of Law No. 11 passed by the Quebec Legislature in 2017

Professional Chemists can now transfer their professional registration between provinces across Canada. The Federation of Canada’s Professional Chemists (FCPC) announced today that provincial chemists’ organizations have adopted a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate mobility of professional chemists between provinces. Professional Chemists have requirements for education and work experience. They must also adhere to a strict Code of Ethics that seeks to ensure public health and safety and to protect the environment in the work that they perform.

FCPC a member of the CNNAR
The Federation of Canada's Professional Chemists is now a member of the Canadian Network of National Associations of Regulators (CNNAR). The Canadian Network of National Associations of Regulators is the federation of national organizations whose provincial and territorial members are identified in legislation as responsible for protection of the public through the self-regulation of professions and occupations.
Mutual Recognition Agreement is signed!
The newly formed Federation of Canada's Professional Chemists (FCPC) and the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC) signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement in Vancouver on June 2, 2014.
